Ms. Kagan's personal history greatly contributed to her facility with the many challenges facing people in today's global community. Born in Europe and immigrating to the U.S. at a young age, Ms. Kagan landed in the melting pot of NYC, where she has thrived ever since. Despite having English as a second language, Ms. Kagan quickly adapted to her new surroundings and proceeded to reach academic heights exemplified in a full scholarship to NYU's undergraduate program, followed by graduate work at her alma mater. The challenges she overcame in youth enabled Ms. Kagan to develop a nuanced understanding of the processes involved in attaining interpersonal and professional endeavors. In addition to her multidisciplinary education, which incorporated biology, language and literature studies, extensive worldwide travel and diverse work experience have provided Ms. Kagan with deep insight into human nature and an enhanced ability for solution finding.
As a mathematics teacher at John Jay College for Criminal Justice Special Program between 1991 and 1993, Ms. Kagan excelled at developing fresh techniques for teaching standardized material to students. As a support counselor for AIDS patients at Kings Terrace Nursing Home between 1993 and 1994, Ms. Kagan worked closely with mortality in an effort to enhance daily meaning for despondent patients. For a ten year period between 1994 and 2004, Ms. Kagan conducted and supervised highly sophisticated cancer studies at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in NYC; in this capacity she developed strategies for research development as well as maximizing research team utility among her staff members.
Ms. Kagan's true calling and passion surfaced in the context of her work as a personal coach; a fervent believer in the concept of "words create reality, so choose yours carefully", Ms. Kagan has trained hundreds of people to uncover their hidden potential and achieve life long pursuits. In her position as the Advanced Course Coordinator at Personal Dynamics, Inc. between 2004 and 2005, Ms. Kagan was in charge of executing the core curriculum of the organization's motivational group workshops, coaching both the staff and the participants to realize breakthroughs in their lives.
In establishing KAGAN COACHING in 2005, Ella Kagan harnessed her training and experience to promote individual and corporate excellence. Today, using techniques and skills honed in years of extensive training, coaching and business seminars, Ms. Kagan incorporates her own particular brand of individual assessment, strategy planning and intensive coaching to enable individuals, corporate teams and non-profit organizations to clarify vision, maximize strengths and achieve ever higher goals.
